Azure

No-one knew why Hallie loved to paint. It started at a young age; she painted swirls and wavy lines on the walls and the doors and the windows and then she got a little bit older and she painted onto paper instead. Then when she was 13, all her dreams came true and she got some canvases and an easel for her birthday. It's not like it was hereditary, neither of her parents could draw a straight line, let alone paint flowers and people and sunsets. Cora Delaney didn't like people and that was the end of that. The idea of wasting time making conversation and talking about other people's didn't appeal to her at all and she was perfectly happy with herself. It was a Tuesday evening when everything changed.
